Third week enters Doby (remember him from
earlier), Graham, Chris, Floyd, John, Frank,
Lillis, Hans, Jim (the backpacker of Europe),
Tony Janson, Johnnie and others. Claus and his
German comrades were still hangin' and skatin'.
A lot of skating was going on by the way.
There was usually someone skating at any
given time. Bruno brought us to the 'Yellow
House! All the new-ros are out in force. We just
mind our own business. Doby conducts a class
in popping and mime dancing. After we left the
Yellow House' and returned to the camp most of
the others had been asleep for hours.
Neil had an idea of how to wake them up in the
morning. He began by stacking crates in the
hall. I got the idea and began grabbing pots,
pans, silverware, anything that would make a
racket. The whole tower of pots and pans was to
be set off when Phillip, the Camp Director,
opened the door to his room, pulling the string
attached to his door and the bottom pan. But,
when we were almost to the ceiling, Phillip was
awakened by a previous noise trap, tripped by
Lillis. The string became taut as Phillip flew out
the door of his room, like a wild boar chasing
after its enemy, sending the whole mess
crashing to the floor.

was okay, he apologized in the morning.
The rest of the week was constant skating and
sunbathing at the beach. Claus Grabke: knows
almost every trick in the book; Hans Gothberg: a
very powerful skater, his 'boneless' ones are 4'
plus easily; Tony Janson: fluid skater, learns
tricks fast and does them bio; Puttis: smooth and
consistent, you want to learn invert fakies from
him; Johnnie: always on edge, but in control;
Bruno Peeters: very consistent, skates under
complete control. All of the others who were at
the camp definitely have a future if they stay
with it.
At the end of the three weeks a party was
thrown by all the girls from the area as a last
night fun thing. Bruno entertains another girl.
One of his earlier girls catches sight of this and
tried to jump off the 13th floor balcony of the
party. Graham stopped her and comforted her
for a long time. Bruno laughed and said "she
should have knocked."
A phone call was made to Del Mar compli-
ments of Janna's father's phone, a short (35
minute) call, completed while she was with a
frustrated Martin. I am almost killed in the back
room, something about her boyfriend,he
leaves after a while. Graham, Chris,

John, and Doby played catch with the goldfish
bowl. It ends up broken, along with a table, desk,
flower pots, glasses and other assorted items.
Neil spent a long time in a locked room with
Anna-Karen, Doby is ready to kill anyone, Jim
was busy in the other room.
On our last day while preparing to leave, the
maids cleaned out our room once more. Thanks
to everyone (except the cook) who was at the
camp. Special thanks to Jani Soderhall and
Phillip Willners for putting up with the noise.
Back to England.
Landing at London's Heathrow Airport, the
first thing we saw was a G&S sticker placed on
a pushcart. We realized we were back in
civilization.
Southbanks was sessioned with the locals,
Neil slammed and claimed he hated everything
and just wanted to be in his room.
A Crystal Palace Demo was scheduled and it
came off well. The level of skating was excellent,
the crowd okay and the ramp good. Danny
Webster, Steve Reid, Lucian, Lee Bryan and
others. are very good and had good control on
