Whitter had been the host of countless
pro and amateur contests. It opened in
1979, with its first contest (Hester series)
proving
be a good sign for the future.
Whittier consisted of Keyhole, Capsule,
Clover, Kidney, Halfpipe, Fullpipe, Reser
voir and bowls

All the pools and bowls were totally
rideable a and definitely rippable! The locals,
Mountain, Blender, Kasal, Stagoo, Lucero,
Pinky, Terrance, Matta, x-convict, Church
Bubbles, Dim Kim, Monica, Spidee, and of
course, Dan-O (manager) are bummed,
world. Well,
is everyone else in the skating wo
that's not the end, why don't we just build
more ramps L Mountain wises up and
builds another outrageous ramp. Rip it up
dude! Tractors move in and destroy what
to them is $20 an hour, but to us (skaters)
a skateboard heaven. That's lame. But
we're all dedicated skate thrashers who
love to grind and rip. Skating will never die!
Until skaters gell, we're not going to gell,
are we? I plan on being around for a long
time, so let's just take it to the streets/
ramps, and push it more than ever before
The last contest we (Skate City) hosted
was the Christmas Classic Dec. 29th,
which truly ripped, thanx to Blender, Kasai,
Ruff, Hosoi, Mountain, McGill and all the
other skaters for some outstanding
radicalism.
Lately the skate scene has been
focused on Palmdale which is on cue.
