"It's happening again and I love it. You see Primo, Rocco, Rodney, Kevin from
Canada, and they're hot, doing all the new footwork tricks. Hopefully, I can show
people how it was and used to be.
"I don't like to see somebody doing a routine in an area the size of a kitchen floor.
I like to see people using the whole area and on their hands. You'll always have
controversy on style because everybody's got a different skate style. A well
rounded routine should include some gymnastic tricks because it looks more
professional.
"We demo-ed for glant crowds in South Africa that had never seen skating
before. They were the most energetic and receptive group I've ever seen."

"It's too bitchin' when you skate down the boardwalk, you see hundreds of girls
down there.
"The skating now is unreal, although some guys' styles could be improved, and
the judging, they're only scoring for rail tricks. There's more to it, there's basic
fluidity, using all the space, using your spins, leading from one maneuver to the
next, handstands. Rail tricks are hot, don't get me wrong, but there's got to be
flow."
