DOING THEIR PART
Your mag rips heavily because you
know where skating's at. Banks, pools,
ramps, curbs, that's what's being thrashed
here in New Hampshire and all over the
world. Here are a couple of pix of us
doing our part in skate thrashing. The
halfpipe is about 8' high and 16' wide. Our
skatepark closed about three years ago
and we needed more than curbs and
banks, so we built the ramp.
Can't wait for your East Coast article, I
know it's gonna be hot. I just got back
from Florida and the action's wild down
there.

PROMOTING PUNK
I just wanted to say that the picture of
Jello in a THRASHER-T is really rad. I live
in Keene, N.H., recently moved from
Chicago. Skating out here was dull until I
got all my friends into it. (I did this by
riding down the hallways at school and
showing them THRASHER mag.) I also
got my friends into punk. Everyone in
Keene is living in the '60s, they listen to
the Grateful Dead and other s--t like that.
So, when I came to school with my spiked
cut and accessories, they couldn't believe
it, because I was the first real punk in this
school. Can you believe how long
everything takes to get here? Well, some
kids listen to punk like The Ramones,
Clash, Dead Kennedys, etc., but you
would never know it by the way they
looked. Me and my friends are forming a
band and hope to encourage more people
into punk. Now, back to skating: me and
my brother have been skating for five
years and we have gotten all our friends
into it.
Well, I gotta get cruisin'. Keep up the
two great parts of your mag, punk and skat-
ing.

SKATE, DON'T WALK
I think your mag is the greatest rag ever
to be published. I am a 15-year-old
negrotic skater from Fairmont, W.Va...
and thrash to the max degree. The banks
here are too lame but being a devoted
Brigade member, I skate every day on
what banks there are. I do my best, my
black friends think I'm a (excuse the
expression, please) "honky lover" 'cause I
only skate with Caucasian fellows.
Sometimes it's hard to walk in the black
neighborhoods because I'm the only black
skater, what do you think I should do?
Stacy and Stevie are so cool that they
inspire me to be a real Thrasher.
