UNCLE WIGGLEY DECK, TRACKER SIXTRACKS,
ALVA NATURALS
I'll bet the first thing that comes to mind when you hear
the name 'UNCLE WIGGLEY' would be that of a storybook
character for small children. UNCLE WIGGLEY decks are
for real though, and very functional, to say the least. This
six ply maple deck's dimensions are exactly 10.3" wide x
30.4" long. This board supplies plenty of space for you big-
footed thrashers. Two layers of 4 oz. Hexcel glass cloth
also make up the composition of this deck. A 3.5° concave
and 16° kicktail adds the final touches along with an argyle
graphic design on the bottom.
Also included in this set-up are the infamous SIXTRACK
trucks made by TRACKER. The magnesium used to make
these babies add to the extreme lightness of this set-up.
Copers are included if your I.Q. allows you to figure out the
assembly process. Difficult but Definitely functional.
Last but not least, ALVA NATURAL WHEELS, made of
super-high density natural color urethane, give you the
needed speed and traction to ride most any skateable ter-
rain. These wheels are very rare nowadays, but definitely
worth looking for. They have a nice rounded outer lip for
complete control riding and the inside edge is slightly
beveled with a shallow bearing seating for taking advan-
tage of full truck width.
MADRID STREET THRUSTER, MOTOBILT 'CHERRY
BOMB' TRUCKS, OJ 63mm STREET JUICE WHEELS
From the school of flat-decked, streetstyle boards,
comes the, 30" x 9", Street Thruster from Madrid. A
cool name, basic, functional shape and simple.
graphics on a dark blue background mark this new
addition to the street board market. Construction is
of, burly, 8-ply Hard Rock Maple and features shallow
wheel wells and 15 degrees of kicktail. Also avail-
able in 28" length.
Following a trend towards splashier looks in trucks
this year are the newly introduced Motobilt, 6",
'Cherry Bomb' models featured here.You're first grind
is sure to destroy the paint job on these babies, but
it doesn't matter because the trucks are fairly stable,
workable units that should last the lifetime of the board.
The good ol'e center bearing wheel is back. These
new 86 dorometer, 63mm tall, OJ Street Juice wheels
are just the ticket for this set-up. They may also mean
a ticket for you once you start speeding down streets
on these puppies. Good speed and good traction
have always been the OJ claim. The center bearing
effect allows you to use a larger truck while retaining
a street width. Add you're appropriate accessories
and you've got yourself a great street blastin' board.
