ADAY
IN THE
STREET
Lews Woods-downhill side
On a downhill run the slide is an important factor
in maintaining control. Pitching it sideways into a
radical drift, your wheels are your brakes, the leather
of a glove is the only other point of reference. Some-
times a little water on the pavement adds to the
thrill and the length of the slide. Always staying low
to the ground. Sideways.
Teddy Love-tail stat
Everybody hits the streets. Take a board and
expand the limits. From wheels to tail-working
down the line. Graceful dance. The freestyler plays
his craft on flatland-he generates the energy. An
exercise in control.
Crusing-one-foot tall wheely
Street stylin' down the avenue. Beats walking any
day. An occasional push is all that's needed to make
one's way. Wheel across town or across the street.
Motion, constant thrust-always exploring.
Limitless
Peter Kal Gifford-step gred
A grinding paradise-cutting back and forth,
slashing and attacking. Each time grinding further
down the line and every step of the way. To take
the challenge and play a game. Urban granite
made to skate.
